Our journey starts in a private Game Reserve. Aquila. This reserve is a 10,000 hectare conservancy in the southern Karoo, and home to the big 5 legends of the wilderness – elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino.

This is a Travel Adventure by Luca & Vittorio. We did 1580 km in 2 days, from Cape Town (Western Cape) till Port Nolloth (Northern Cape) in 2 days. Official excuse was “we don’t have internet at home so we go on a photographic trip”. That trip actually became a sandboarding, driving, exploring trip across the Northern Cape.

Writing about AfrikaBurn is always a difficult task.
You can talk about the experience itself as much as you want, but you’ll never be able to fully understand AfrikaBurn till you’ll be there at least once.

So here we go again.
A lot of things have happened in the last few months, but one, the most important, is that I am back. I am back in the Mother City, eventually. And I have started my new life as a postgrad worker in this beautiful city.
There are some places which have seen a lot of history. This is the case of Amiens and the Somme. The purpose of this post is to remember what has happend during the Great World War in those apparently peaceful locations. Continue reading
